Chase brings years of practical experience representing contractors, subcontractors and other professionals and businesses in a variety of industries across a diverse range of litigation and transactional matters. - Secured nearly $500,000.00 settlement for Bay County area subcontractor in complex dispute with prime contractor, surety, and project owner in contract and performance dispute.
- Secured $85,000.00 settlement for residential condo unit purchasers from seller for failure to disclose defects in unit and condominium building in Johnson v. Davis non-disclosure action.
- Successfully sought sanctions of over $21,000.00 in attorney’s fees against the U.S. District Attorneys for discovery violations.
- Represented victim of fraudulent investment and loan scheme, obtaining summary judgment for over $400,000.00 on civil theft claim.
- After employer denied worker’s compensation benefits, successfully argued on issue of first impression that an unborn child was not barred by worker’s compensation exclusivity for recovering in tort for neurological defects sustained in utero when mother was stabbed by third-party in employer’s parking lot after work. Employer settled for nearly $500,000.00 following trial court’s ruling on this issue.
