Insurance Fraud/Special Investigations

LGWM’s Insurance Fraud/SIU Practice Group works closely with insurance carriers' Special Investigative Units (SIUs) to conduct thorough and complete investigations of first-party property claims, including arson and theft. When an investigation raises questions about the validity of a claim, we conduct Examinations Under Oath (EUOs) to uncover discrepancies and reveal potential fraud. After completion of a claim investigation, we provide our clients with a detailed analysis of the investigation and a recommendation on whether the claim is covered under the terms of the policy.

Our team understands SIU claim investigations and EUOs are different from litigated cases. We are committed to treating insureds with respect, and our recommendations to accept or deny claims are made fairly and impartially based on the evidence presented. Our comprehensive understanding of insurance policies and legal precedent help us protect our clients from claims of bad faith.
