Sarah is a member of the LGWM Labor and Employment Practice Group. Sarah represents corporate and individual employers against varied claims of race discrimination, age discrimination, gender discrimination, national origin discrimination, religious discrimination, disability discrimination, sexual harassment and retaliation arising under Title VII and other federal and state statutes. Sarah has also represented employers against claims of retaliatory discharge under Alabama’s Worker’s Compensation Act, claims for violation of the Family and Medical Leave Act of 1993, and claims under the Fair Labor Standards Act. The remainder of Sarah’s practice is devoted to General Liability and Environmental Law. She has experience defending clients involving commercial construction disputes, architects, product defects, premises liability and personal injury claims.

- Represented Alabama university against claims of pay discrimination under the Equal Pay Act and Title VII and obtained summary judgment on all claims in favor of trucking company.
- Represented homebuilder against various state tort claims made by homeowner and obtained summary judgment on all claims in favor of homebuilder.
- Represented large baby car seat manufacturer against various claims based in negligent design and the AEMLD where alleged claims were in excess of $10 million.
- Represented Alaskan boat cruise company against claims for retaliation under the Seaman’s Protection Act.
- Represented Roofing Consultant with respect to alleged faulty construction that allegedly led to damaged pharmaceutical products in a commercial building in La Vergne, Tennessee.
- Represented multiple restauranteurs with regard to claims of negligence brought by a customer that allegedly led to personal injuries on the premises.
- Represented company that manufactured Home and Garden Products against AEMLD claims.
- Represented multiple companies arising out of claims for breach of contract and negligence for alleged failure to comply with contracts related to rodent and termite prevention.
- Represented manufacturing facility alleged to have contaminated 150 homeowners properties through the migration of particulate emissions as a result of development of a waste water treatment facility
